This standard applies to 5 L plastic jugs intended to be used for packaging of edible oil for export as food aid. It specifies requirements for the design, material, performance, filling and marking of the jugs. It also specifies to the requirements for material, construction, closure, performance and marking of fibreboard boxes and inserts. The requirements for pallets, wrapping and strapping are also included.
This standard is intended to be used in food aid contracts mainly by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
